SPARE / HOW RECOVERY WORKS
SMALL ACCOUNTS.
YOUR DEPOSITS.
SPARE finds empty classic SPL token accounts and lets their signing wallet recover the SOL deposits by closing them.
What is eligible?
The account must belong to the classic SPL Token Program, have the searched wallet as its token owner, an exact zero raw token balance, initialized state and a 165-byte account size. Wrapped SOL accounts and accounts with a different close authority are excluded. Token-2022, stake and other program accounts are outside this tool.
From scan to recovery
- Connect Phantom or Solflare, or scan a public wallet first.
- Select up to 12 empty accounts. The displayed total uses their actual SOL balances, before fees.
- Choose Preview recovery. SPARE fetches each selected account again, checks ownership and eligibility, constructs only CloseAccount instructions, estimates the network fee and runs a network simulation without a signature.
- Review the accounts, destination and estimated net return. The review expires after 45 seconds.
- Approve in your wallet. Your wallet signs and submits the transaction; SPARE checks its confirmation status.
Where does the SOL go?
Every closing instruction sends the remaining account balance to the connected owner wallet. SPARE charges no service fee. The browser verifies the token program, account list, signing owner and destination before handing the transaction to the wallet.
Before you close
A closed account no longer exists. Receiving its token again may require creating a new account and paying rent again. State can change after simulation; the wallet and network can reject the transaction. Failed transactions may still pay network fees. The receipt is an estimate until confirmed. The signing wallet needs enough SOL for the network fee.
Only standard signing wallets are supported. Multisig or program-owned addresses can be inspected but cannot sign through this flow. You must explicitly approve each batch. If confirmation remains pending, check the linked transaction before trying again.
Sources and freshness
Reads use Solana Mainnet RPC. Scan results can be cached for up to 20 seconds. Recovery preparation always rechecks the selected accounts. Public RPC can rate-limit requests; errors are shown rather than replaced with simulated balances.

Privacy and independence
Lookup values are sent through the site’s server to the named data provider and can appear in provider logs or shared URLs. The app stores an animation preference for this browser session. No private keys are requested or stored.
SPARE is an independent tool. A project token, if configured, is separate from the product and does not grant custody, returns or a safety rating.
